Join us to kick off the 2019 CEEP Conference with our Keynote Address by Dr. Christena Cleveland. She will discuss how, with pressing issues like immigration, the widening economic gap, and mass incarceration, those who desire to be agents of reconciliation in their communities can take up this Gospel work. Dr. Cleveland will explore what true reconciliation work entails – seeking to take us beyond noble-heartednes and towards pathways of true reconciliation.
Christena Cleveland is a social psychologist, public theologian, author, and Associate Professor of the Practice of Organizational Studies at Duke University’s Divinity School. Christena is author of Disunity in Christ: Uncovering the Hidden Forces that Keep Us Apart. Her recently completed second book is on its way to the publisher, with the working title Power Trip: How Facing Inequality Sets You Free. She’s also working on her third book which examines the relationship between gender, race, and cultural perceptions of God.
